Fresh Print

Photos by Joanne Lam
One of my favorite summer trends are pops of florals and bright colors. Overall I do have a very colorful wardrobe, but that could be the artistic side of me.

Summer in SF isn't crazy hot, so your allowed to wear chunk knitted sweaters in the summer here. One way to style your sweater is to tuck in the sweater in the front to create an asymmetrical style.

I paired the outfit with a jeweled statement necklace just to bring some interesting to the top, because the top is pretty plain besides the pop of colors.

I am in love with printed pants. I love these floral pants because they did help me transition from spring to summer. Since the pants are such a statement piece by itself, I paired it with a plain knitted sweater to balance the printed pants.

My favorite type of heel right now are strapped sandals. The reason why I like them so much is because they just feel so light and airy compared to some pumps.

I love the small hidden gems of San Francisco. We shot at this place near the ball park stadium where people go to fish. There was an elderly man fishing and he was really nice to leave the background once he found out we were shooting here. Which he didn't have to do at all. Here I'm wearing probably the most comfortable pants ever. They are very loose and breezy which is perfect for summer. The pants do not get stuck onto your legs when you sweat in the summer plus they have an amazing print on them.

Not only do I like hardware detailing on handbags, but I also love it on my clothes. I love the details around the cutouts of this top.

No summer breezy look is completed without a floppy hat. This may be one of my favorite purchases from a local hat store on Haight St. Not only do hats up your outfit by +1 but they also give you enough shade to walk around on hot summer days.

This is probably my most over worn necklace all year. There's just something about this necklace that I really love. There's also the fact that it matches with almost everything!

S a n F r a n c i s c o

Photos by Joanne Lam

It's crazy how we can live in a city for a whole life time, but there are always new areas to explore. Today I'm pairing a peplum top with my wax coated skinnies. Peplum tops are great for girls who aren't so thin and would want to cover up some love handles around the waste. I personally love peplum dresses, tops, skirts, and I heard they even have peplum jeans now!

I finally got to put a use to this blazer. Here I have on a black and white beetle juice striped blazer. The blazer just gives the whole look a more professional vibe. Plus it's not always clear skies in SF, so it does give you a little bit of warmth. I think I might just wear this outfit to my interview for an interior design internship in San Diego. Crossing my fingers that they'll still have some positions up for grab!

This is my all time favorite pic for this outfit. My friend who shot details for me has an dope eye for artist shots. Here are details behind the mint green peplum top. There are some really cute bows on the back and personally I would wear this top to a club. Just switch out the pants with some cute white fitting skirt.

These shoes are crazy badass. I feel like I can knock someone out with these shoes! I honestly don't need the height anymore because I guess I'm pretty tall for an asian girl. You would think because these babies are so tall that they would be really uncomfortable to walk in, but they're actually really comfortable. It's just balancing with them is pretty hard. For example... walking on uneven sidewalks in SF. These shoes are definitely a great dupe for the Jeffrey Campbell tardys. If you ever get in a fight I recommend you bring these shoes with you. Lol...jk.

Behind the Bars in Blue

      Guess what guys? I'm officially starting my blog today. Yes I have posted pictures of the past on here, but they were just photos from my phone via instagram. I am truely thankful for two of my friends for helping me out with this. Joanne Lam, an amazing photographer who has an artist eye and my dear from Tabia ye who was pretty much our director (;

Living in San Francisco all my life I've always had the problem of the weather being too cold. After moving to San Diego for 2 years for college and coming back to SF for the breaks I've really began to appreciate the weather here. So what do you wear in foggy weather like SF? Layers! Except that will not be the case for today's outfit haha. Today's outfit was a more minimalist monochromatic outfit till you  reach the very bottom. Why live in black and white when you can brighten out your outfit with some sick a** almost neon blue shoes?! Nothing screams fun more than bright colored shoes and some shiny disco pants.

Turtlenecks are making a comeback... say what?? Who wears a turtleneck in the summer? Well for one I do because SF weather isn't all sunshine. What I love about this turtle neck is that it is sleeveless and it is a crop top as well. One of my favorite accessory for the past month has been this silver chain necklace. I've been pairing it off with more outfit than I can think of.

Can't forget the rings. I've had these babies for a long time and over time they have rusted and I kind of like that type of look on these rings. Is it me or do you guys ever appreciate items that have grown in age which begins to give it a more authentic look.

One word to describe these boots is LOVE. Bring colored combat boots?! That's a YES in my closet! First of all my favorite type of shoe are boots. Boots over everything else any day. I absolutely love combat boots as well. Ever time I walk around with these shoes I feel like someone is staring down at my feet. It's hard not to notice the color on these babies!

This was probably my favorite work at the Academy of Art spring show collection of 2013. There's another artist who does work like this from another country and she uses a aircraft program for her designs I believe . I hope to learn how to design like this one day .
